Shelley has over 10 years experience working as a data privacy consultant for clients in the UK and abroad. After studying Information Management at University College London, she started working for data privacy specialists, Privacy Laws & Business as a researcher then consultant and has been an independent consultant since 2005.
Shelley helped develop the UK Information Commissioner’s Audit Manual and has worked for clients including, Channel 4, Fremantle Media, Accenture, Schering-Plough, Motorola, Nationwide, the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner’s Office, Connexions, the Law Society and regulators including, OFGEM, the Office of Fair Trading, and OPRA.
She has extensive experience identifying clients’ data privacy requirements, managing data protection audits/consultancy projects and delivering training to clients. During her time at Privacy Laws & Business, Shelley managed a specialist data privacy recruitment service for clients. Her recruitment clients have included Accenture, Centrica, Ernst & Young, JP Morgan, PWC, Prudential, IMS Health and London Underground.
In addition to her role as a consultant, Shelley currently acts as Commissioning Editor of the BNA World Data Protection Report.
